TT2's rubbing caliper bracket?

I just got a set of 17"X9.5" and 17"X11" TT2"s for my 02 Z28.Which have to be exchanged due to defects but that's another story. I noticed when I put one of the front ones on, for a trial fit, that the center of the wheel was rubbing the caliper bracket. Has anyone else seen this? I think that I will be able to clearence the bracket a little and it will be fine. I am just curious to see if this a normal occurence. :usa:

On stock Camaro brakes??? Nope . . .

haven't heard of that happening.

What "defects" are on the wheels? I have a set on my car right now and have had them balanced twice (with new tires) and they still vibrate a little between 60-70 mph

I have them and it's a close fit but I don't have a problem with rubbing.

Tony I hear it's real commen with TT2s, mine were bad but after I had them rebalanced I don't notice it much at all

They are stock brakes. One is bent (shipping?), one is scratched on the outer lip, one has welding splatter on the center portion and one has a nick and scratches on some of the spokes. I was worried these problems occured often with these wheels, until I spoke to someone at American Racing and they said that it isn't. I hope the replacments are in better condition. :suspiciou

Yes, this happened with my passenger's side wheel. I took a dremel to the bracket and now it fits just fine.

That's the area that mine is hitting. I'll do the same thing. Thanks :usa:
