2" drop w/ 18's???

I was thinking about posting this in a suspension room, but I couldn't find the right one. I also tried searching. No help....

I will be ordering some 9.5" X 18" Simmon's wheels in July. (stock 16's to 18's) If I have the wheels 2" bigger, and I lower it 2".... It would be back to stock ride, correct?? Is this OK? Clearance problems? Anyone got pics of 18's w/ 2" drop?? A friend of mine has 17's X 9.5 ZO6 wheels, he told me that the 9.5's are as wide as he could go. (4th gen Z28)

No, the 18s shouldnt change height too much, cause you have to take in consideration tire size. The 16s you have now will have a much larger sidewall making the diameter bigger and the 18's will have less sidewall so the diameter isnt too big to fit..... I Have 18" Privat Fahrens (245/40/18 in front and 265/35/18 out back) with a 2" eibach drop.... check my sig. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/851616/1 Some more good pics in my cardomain.

2" is insane . . . 1" is more than enough.

I have TT2's with 275/40/18 in back and 275/35/18 with 18x10's all around with a 1.5 drop and no problems at all.
