Lowering car with 11's? I was just curious to whether or not you can lower your car an inch or 1 1/2 inches and still be able to fit 17 x 11's on the rear? I know i will have to re-weld my cutout, but i wasnt sure if my tires would fit or not.. Thanks alot Bryan |
Yes, you can. Depending on offset and tires, you may have to hammer the fender wells or roll the outer fender lip. |
ditto on what arachnotron said...if you dont roll the fender your gonna shave some edge off ur tire.. |
Well, I am lowered with a Pro-Kit and I just installed 17x11s on the rear this weekend...everything is fine, and I haven't even installed my Adjustable Panhard Bar yet |
i'm lowered w/ sportlines and used a adj. panhard bar and rolled the fender lip w/ no problems, and cut down my bumpstop. This is w/ a 50mm offset/ http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/2663/img04416vu.jpg http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/8572/img04381em.jpg |
Eveyone always mentions how they love the stance my car has. too bad it went from this.. http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/3471/img05615wo.jpg Too this.... http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/315/img08997ms.jpg I installed a Lakewood DSL for the track and those lowering springs and my true duals along w/ the loop did not work, it dragged on everything. But now i'm ditching the duals and going back to the sportline rear springs only, because I installed a QA1 setup in the front so I can adjust that all I want. |
one way or another, i'm bringing this car back down to the earth, I miss it!!! |

I wouldn't recommend going that low, but it can be done. |
I have the eibach pro-kit and the 36.5mm offset zr1's. It doesn't rub at all and I didn't even have to bang the wheel well in. The fender is rolled flat though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...a/formula6.jpg Here's another one. The wheel's look like they stick out but they don't. They are flush with the fender's http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...a/formula4.jpg |
