Can't get bfg 315s - ??????

For some reason, no one has the BFG G-Force KD 315/35/17 - WTF??? I have already got the 275s on the front, I just need the 315s to go on my new TTIIs that I have had for 2 weeks now and can't put them on because there are no BFGs. I would kind of like to keep them matching, but not if I have to wait forever. Anyone know what is up with this tire; I thought about the Nittos but it would seem odd having two different kinds of tires. Thoughts anyone?

Odd. It's still listed on BFG's web site in that size. You might call BFG directly and ask them if there's something going on. Otherwise, call Discount Tire and get them to order you a pair.

How much from Costco for the 315's??

ls2 bait Feb 3, 2006 11:36 PM

$258.99 installed. lifetime balance, flat repairs, road hazard, new valve stems etc.

talked to michelin yesterday (they own bfg) and they said they do not have any planned production at this point. which they are only able to forcast 8 weeks out from the date u talk to them. so u r looking at atleast 10 -12 weeks before something would come available. i found one tire in the nevada dist center and it was a drivers side. guess i got lucky on mine. id throw some nittos on until next set and they should be available by then.

Last time I talked to BFG (Early Jan) they said the BFG KDW-NTs in 315/30/18 will be released in the middle of Feb.

I don't think Michelin owns BFG, but who knows

shit sorry, I forgot to put the W for KDW...anyhow I knew he was talking about the KD, just felt like throwing out there that the KDW will be available soon.

Thanks for that tidbit about Michelin, I had no clue....I always thought Michelin was a French faggot company and BFG was an American company....makes me think twice now about me purchasing the KDWs....only if Goodyear would just release the damn GS-D3 in a 315/30/18 :bang:

ls2 bait Feb 5, 2006 11:15 PM

yes i work at costco and michelin is our only supplier now. they bought all the rights. so all we deal with is bfg and michelin and a couple select uniroyals thats they decide they cant sell anywhere else.

First, I'd never buy tires or have any guy working at Costco do work on my car. They are complete idiots, at least around here.

Second, get some Nittos and be done.

u shouldnt generalize people that way. id put my skills/ abilities against any one out there. thats why they pay me $20 an hr to install tires. i dont know where u r from but im sorry, sounds like u got a bad apple. costco spends a lot of time and $$ to train their employees. i have to take 3 certification tests per year of 250 questions each. if i get less than a 91% my ass checks receipts at the front door. (which hasnt and will not happen) michelin also supplies us with more material to read then any human would care to. like i said sounds like u got a bad apple.
