post pics of 285's please

does anyone have any pictures of 285's out back? ive always liked the look of the wide tires on the back, but i saw 275's the other day and it didnt really stand out, but my friend has 295 bfg dr's and they look mean. i would just get 315's but ive decided on 17inch z06 wheels and 285 is the largest that will fit on a 9.5. thanks alot!

I'm with you NxLS1496 275's just don't look big enough. I went with 275's when I put my TTII's on but wanted 285's but for the BFG's it was just to pricey for that little bit more tire. On a 9.5 wheel my 275 kinda turn inward at the tread I want them to be bulging over the rim a bit, the 275's just don't do that.

NxLS1496 Mar 9, 2006 09:14 AM

exactly, and what pisses me off is the z06 wheels i want only come in 17x9.5 at the biggest. sure i could get 18x10.5 but then we have evem more rub issues because thier 18's + more traction problems + extremely expensive ass tires = extreme pain in the ass. so either i get 285 nitto's....275 nitto drags....or switch to zr1 wheels w/ 17x11 and get some 315's  .....decisions decisions....

If you are bold, slap some 315/35/17 BFG KD's on those 9.5" Z06's.

this is my brothers 96 Trans Am,

Forget the safety part (which I agree with) but the look of those does not seem right. Too much sidewall sticking out past the wheel IMHO. But to each his own I guess.

SUTTERERMAN85 Mar 9, 2006 02:32 PM

how about some pics of the 315 on the 9.5 from the rear. yea its all going to start with thats not safe watch....

lol saw that coming. thats what i dont get though why is it not safe? i had 225's on the back 15x7 rims of my v6 mustang and they looked the same and i never had any problems, i beat the shit out of those tires too. i think they look fine like that.
