TT2's / offset/ fenderlips

I am thinking about a set of TT2's in 17x11, or the Torq Thrust M in a 17x10.5. I plan to run 315/35-17 Sumitomo's. My car's an 02' Z28, and if I choose either of these wheels which offset do I need in order to keep the tires from sticking out past the top edge of the fenderlip? I have looked at the New Wheel Chart sticky, and the best I can figure is that I would need a +45 offset. How close will this offset put the edge of the 315's to the edge of my fenderlip? Will this offset cause the tire to stick out past the fenderlip? If it does, which offset do I need to keep the tires from doing this? I did my best to try to understand the New Wheel Chart sticky but I am still confused. The way the diagram looks it seems like the tire would come to the edge of the fenderlip or maybe past. What do you recommend?

You should be fine with a 45mm offset. If you'll call American Racing, they'll verify which offset you need. Also Sumitomo's run very narrow, I'm not sure why, but my Yokohamas are almost 1.2" wider than my Sumitomo's were. Even with the extra girth, these still fit great.

Here is a link to a few pics of my car with TT2's so can get an idea of the fitment.

Thanks

Thanks man. Your car looks awesome. The wheel tire combo looks massive. Are you running the +45 offset?

Discount Tire told me it was a 46mm offset.

Thanks. I might have to get a set of those Yokohamas instead of the Sumitomos after seeing how good they look on your car.

I do know that for TTII's in 17x11 the offset is +46mm, and for 17x9.5 in the front, the offset is +45mm. I dont know much about the tire stand point b/c i just got my rims, however some tires are def. wider then others. Just keep checking around till you get the info you need!

Thanks for all your help. I was thinking about getting the TT M's but I decided to go with the TT2's. I orded polished 17x9.5's and 17x11's today from Tom Z. I'll post some pics when I get em.

Sweet!!! Can't wait to see the pics.

After seeing those pics of your car, I changed my mind. Your wheels and tires completely fill out the fender. I got to thinking about the TT M and it's 10.5 width, and decided that it wouldn't spread the tire out as much. Are your wheels chrome or polished? How much is your car lowered?

They're just polished and I lowered the car about ~2" (I think). It measures 26-1/4" from the fender lip to the ground at all four corners.
