Default Question for those running MT ET DR's on the street....

I've been through countless Nitto DR's and have found that if I keep them around 18-20 psi, they tend to last longer

Any higher, and the center will start to wear out quickly

I just ordered a set of MT ET DR's and I'm curious what pressure I should run them at to prolong wear on the street

17-21 psi hooks best at track. I find 25-28 psi on the street to be the best. They hook better at 21 psi on the street though... but i like the feel better when they are little higher.

I've only had them for about 1k miles and don't notice any wear yet.

My BFG's lasted me a whopping 2.5k miles.. mostly because i could light those bitches up from a 100 roll. It was like i was still on stock tires haha.

I can still spin the 325's easily.. but i can't get them loose above 60.

by the way i run my 315s at about 28psi on the street, my car doesnt really hook on them no matter what psi they are on the street, so i just keep it higher for a nicer ride.

Man, I wish mine would hook @ 25 on the street. Lol, I can't seem to get it to hook on anything over about 15. Hell, I think I've got 'em on 13 right now. What sizes are you guys running?

To answer your question, you're going to have the same problem wearing out the centers first if you run any kind of reasonable street pressure. My Nittos are wearing out in the center running at 25psi because I can't hack driving around at 18psi.

I had a set of MT radials on the stock 16" wheels. I kept 20psi in them and they wore pretty even and hooked ok on the street and track.

325/50/15's here on a 10" prostar. I run about 20psi in mine and they kinda hook from a roll on the street. My setup is a 402/T56/9" and it needs all the tire it can get. It will still blow these things off but you can get it to hook up on the street from a roll. At the track I'm mustered a 1.58 60' with them, launching at 6k smoking this shitty centerforce DF clutch. Now if only my posi wasn't a POS... fixing that and the clutch this winter. Hello 10's
