what kind of rims are those?

mcG Dec 28, 2006 07:19 AM

usually i think they're too big, but those wheels in that pic look awesome

jman0322 Dec 28, 2006 07:30 AM

I definitely like the ones in the pic but I think I'm going to go with 18's on mine.

TXws6 Dec 28, 2006 07:59 AM

that looks badass for 19's .... i wish they made the 18s bigger than 18x8

They make 18x9's but that still isn't really wide.

BAN-LS1 Dec 28, 2006 09:03 AM

The wheel i am looking at are 19x9.5 with a 3.5" lip

TXws6 Dec 28, 2006 09:12 AM

damn nineball those look clean on the SS. I havent come across these for sale anywhere other than ebay. Do any sponsors sell besides HP?

MeentSS02 Dec 28, 2006 09:36 AM

I voted that they look nice, but just aren't for me. I think 18s look pretty good on these cars...any bigger, and I'd probably want some big brakes to fill up the huge window inside the wheel. And big brakes cost lots of money (almost as much as the wheels themselves).

Ericbigmac83 Dec 28, 2006 09:58 AM

Remember that youre gonna sacrifice some traction too with a sidewall that short. They look good tho.

Oops Retract my vote. I wanted to vote that they are not too big. -1

They look badass! Sorry about the itchy finger.

BAN-LS1 Dec 28, 2006 10:55 AM

I'm putting the 06 Corvette Z51 13.7" rotors on there so the brakes are covered.

19s look amazing in person, I even saw a set of 19/20s that I was drooling over in person, and my first impression was20s on an fbody? :eyes: but they look amazing

Did you get a different offset/backspacing on those wheels? Because everyone other one that i have seen have the sunken-in wheel syndrome.

kevinclark09 Dec 28, 2006 12:30 PM

they look pretty good but i wouldnt get them, it would cut down traction and be a bitch to clean. they do look good though.

They only make one offset for 19x9.5. All four of mine were the same, with 275 wide tires front/rear.

Seems like personal preferance to me! looks or performance, those wheels do look good but i,ve also seen some that look like complete shite.
