Best Drag radial for 18" rims???
I'm just wondering since MT keeps pushing the date back on the tires who else is comparable or second runner-up. I'm looking for a tire that can hold it's own on the track and still get me home. Also something that wont send my car fishtailing if I get caught in rain. Does such a tire exist? Thanks!

IMO, No.
I run 315/30 18 BFG drag radials. They do alright at the track, but after a few burnouts, you WILL NOT want to be driving on them in the rain. They're drivable under 40 mph, but all it really takes is a little blip of the throttle and you will be sliding. Not to mention hyrdroplaning on the highway. I used to run Nittos and they were alright at first in the rain, but after a few burnouts and trips to the track I started feeling less and less secure on them. If you want to hook at the track but drive your car every day, invest in a set of tires for the track only, you will appreciate it when have to drive through standing water at ANY speed. Just my .02 cents.
