Default Fitment - 275/40/18?

Fitment

Would 18x9 wheels with 275/40/18 tires work on all four?

Thanks in advance.

yes they will. i have had them for more than a year. you will have a little rubbing on the front wheel well, but only on sharp turns, nothing that will hurt the tire. make sure you calibrate the speedo for this new tire size

its easier to have a tire that fits no prob. in would have gotten the kdw2 but i hate the tread pattern. I love my tires, so i bit the bullet and havent looked back

no im saying the 35 is better in a sense that you don't have to mess with the speedo, and no rubbing. i just didnt like the kdw2 tread pattern or i would have gotten the 35's

I really don't want 35s. Not enough sidewall for me since my car isn't lowered. And I cant lower it either since my y pipe scrapes as it is.

I know a 35 would work better, but would 40 work?

Thanks.

ya 40 will "work" its just not "right". If interested. I have 2 275/40/18 goodyear F1 EMTs 1 probably has about 90% tread left the other has 60ish% tread left. These are $414 per tire. I'd probably sell them both for ~$300.

Can you be a little more specific as to why it wouldn't work "right" please? Would it be because it would rub on a sharp turn? Or would it just not fit at all(Which I doubt would be a problem)?

Thanks

i have 275/40/18 on all four's with 18x9.5 wheels and the do not rub what so ever...IMO i think they look better wotha 40 sereies aspect ratio rather than 35. Its nice to see a car have a little bit of rubber to the tires which also helps the car to ride a little smoother on the streets....another plus for the 275/40/18 over the 35 is that it will fill out the wheel well better than the 35 and the car will look good like a complete 4x4 on stock springs...im actually happy with my ride hieght rate now....

a 35 is closer to the "stock" height of "stock" tires.

As long as 40s fit I'm running them. 35s don't fill up the wheel well enough on an unlowered car.

Thanks guys.
