for a track car or street/DD?

LT1Formula007 May 29, 2007 06:43 PM

It's A DD but I have 2 sets of wheels so I'd like them to be mainly for the track And use my Fuzion ZRi's on Eagle Alloy Wheels for the Daily Driving..... Also I was really thinking the MT's as well Waterbug thanx...Any oppinions?

The Nitto's just take ALOT of burning out to get them nice and sticky... Went thru them pretty quick. (just compare the compund of the 2 tires and youll see why)
I just run MT's 255/50/16's on a stock TA rim when I go to the track (until I get my bogarts) and can run 1.5X 60' all day on motor and run a 1.45 60' the one time I sprayed out of the hole. So, the MT's can hook.

I appreciate the info alot Yeah that wouldn't be very cool going through a set of $300+ dr's in no time.... thats a waste of money in my opinion

Well, the MT's I have now, is going on there 2nd season. Prolly around 10-14 pass's. Still have around 1/2 tread left.
According to your mods in yoru sig, you could just do a small burnout on the MT's to where you get a little smoke, get the crap off the tires and still hook. If you break'em loose, try a little longer burnout. Just something you have to play around with till you find what works.

if your looking for a DD drag radial then nitto would be your best bet, it will alast twice as long and give you good traction. The traction may not be AS good , but the extra miles really pays off IMO. My new set should eb arriving in the mail tomorrow FWIW

Probably gonna get the MT's Since I have 2 sets of wheels..... Thanks to everybody for your oppinions, I appreciate it....
