17's suck

Just wondering if anyone else regrets going with 17's? I love my wheels but they just look too small, dinky almost

IMHO if your going for a rim upgrade, 18's are a min, never used to think that, but after owning a set of 17's I defiantly see it.

I think 18's are the perfect size for F-bods. I also believe that the difference in tire prices and selection of wheel choices are the reason a lot of people go with 17's. I think your ride looks pretty good, but the stepped lip on the wheels tend to make them look smaller in diameter.

17's are perfect and your wheels look badass. Anything bigger than 17" is pushing it IMO.

i'm with gearbanger. 17's look good. +1 for a sweet looking ride too. i think it has to do with just have the black rims with the chrome lip. the lip itself makes the rest of it look a tad smaller. but all in all your car looks fine :thumb:

I have 17" x 9.5 x 4 Z06's on my car. They look fine. They look better if the car is lowered. When I lowered my car it looked 10 x's better. Your car looks badazz with the bigger 10.5's on the rear. 315's on the back of an F-body makes for a sexy ass!!!!

18's are the way to go. But I might be just a bit basis;)

silver30th Jun 17, 2007 09:38 AM

yup, lower that 4x4 and they'll look a million times better. i always used to think the same til my buddy dropped his and they tucked up and it looked killer

melchoir Jun 17, 2007 10:05 AM

Haha, I'll buy your 17s..

02silvaZ Jun 17, 2007 10:12 AM

hey these are muscle cars, they tend to look a little ricer-ish with the big ass rims, some 18's look good but most of the time 18+ look a little like ghetto or rice-ish, but hey opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has got one and this is mine

Jon5212 Jun 17, 2007 10:35 AM

^^^+1 on that too... I remember someone posted up their Z28 with 22's or 24's or something on it.... :barf:

rrgray8 Jun 17, 2007 10:39 AM

17 x 9.5 c5 z06 wheels on mine .....I really like um

drews94z-28 Jun 17, 2007 10:58 AM

17's or 18's look really good on our cars, I really like your white T/A, yup just lower it and I think you'll be real happy, I need to lower mine as well.

Blackbirdws6 Jun 17, 2007 12:19 PM

The black spokes are def. making them look smaller than they are. Lower it and they will look bigger...and as silly as it sounds, throw some tire shine on the tires. I don't know why but somehow it makes them seem a bit bigger. 18's are my ideal size but many mixed opinions on that one.

i have the same wheels on my car, and sometimes i wish they made an 18 for the back-i wouldnt want them upfront. like some one said earlier the tire price difference just isnt worth it (to me atleast), and lowered they look much better. not to mention they ride a little better too...dont regret it your car looks very good!

rk_2000_Z/28 Jun 18, 2007 02:45 PM

18's...gay!

26's are the way to go

Seriously though, I think that 17's are fine and 18's look good also if it is the right kind of wheel.

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you fit a little bit more rubber on a 17" wheel than an 18"? I'd rather have a 17" wheel and be able to run a little taller side wall and get some better traction.

troopercar Jun 18, 2007 02:57 PM

I wish I had never seen that.^^^^
