Which lasts longer: BFG DR or MT ET Street DR?
I just *tore* through my first pair of BFGs (which have hardly any tread depth on them brand new!); I'm wondering if the MT's would be any better for treadlife. Nitto 555R lasted quite a while but I kept spinning the crap out of them on the street, could not hook at all. And yes, I have a good suspension setup for rear end bite.
Please post up if you've run on both the BFG and MT...
Thanks,
Rich

i would spin my bfgs so much that they lasted barely 1000 miles. I have about 100whp more than you and switched over to a 325 ET radial. Now that i can't spin the tire as much, the tread is lasting longer.
BFGs are SUPPOSED to last longer though..

I guess the difference is that when you spin the BFGs you must chunk out a lot of the compound; when you spin the Nittos you don't. I guess it's time to really practice part throttle.
All this wear is on the street, of course.

I think the general consensus is that MT's hook a bit better than BFG's at the track, with the Nittos significantly behind them. The Nittos are also said to require a John Force burnout to get them sufficiently sticky.
