best street dr's what would be the best drag radial for street use? |
i love my nitto's for the street, my camaro is pretty much a daily driver, so id rather have tire life over a grippier tire |
i have had both nittos and bfgoodrich drags n the choice is easy! the nittos are definitely better for performance n will last longer in my opinion! my third pair is on the way! |
I used to use Nittos on my old car, but now I only use BFG's. I had 275/40/17s on my old rims and I've got a pair of 315/35/17s sitting next to me here waiting to go on. I get pretty good treadlife out of the BFGs and they grab way harder than my Nittos did. Nittos also run a little narrow, and they looked weird on my old car, the front tires (BFG KDW's or something like that were noticeably wider than the nittos out back. |
I daily drive on Nitto 555R's. They do look skinny compared to other tires. I feel safe in the rain too, even at 60mph. I dead hook in these tires, however I drive a shit box. |

Nitto's FTMFW!!!! mine hooked great on the street and tread life was respectable. considering it was a DR and i was racing alot when i was running em... maybe 20,000 miles out of em, 15,000 at the least i'd say, but im not %100 positive on that, its been awhile |
The MT's should last around 12-15,000 depending on how much you go to the track or how often you do a burnout. |

The bfg's fall right in the middle. so just make your choice on whether you want more tire life or more traction |
