Kuhmo Ecsta Mx's i was wondering if anybody has any experience with this tire? do u think it would be able to hook as good as maybe some nittos on the street? |
I have then . . . no experience comparing to a Nitto, nice tire for the money, kind of hard though. I can spin the living day lights out of mine, but they are also 18" diameter. |

I almost went with the Ecsta MX. But I bought the KDW2s instead. Not that much more money and have better dry and wet traction. |
mx's are more of a autox tire not a drag tire. they have a stiff sidewall. the mx is a great handling tire for the price |
thanks guys! i know the nittos are one of the better all around drag radial street tire. i was just wondering if there was another tire that would hook just as good as the nittos but still be safer to drive in during wet weather? |
i have had both the drags and regular 555 street tires. the rehular nittos where on my old lx mustang that was a strong car and they hooked realy good for a street tire.if your looking for a good street tire go with the nitto's. the drags are good for the street also. i run them on my camaro and they hook even if there cold.i even got stuck in rain with them and i was in a parking lot and i was trying to spin them and they still hooked lol.both nittos are a good tire. |

Ive got both of those sets of tires for mine nittos in 275-60-15 and the kumo's in 275 & 285 -17. The nittos hook better when warm for me but the kumo's kill in the corners. |
