18's all around??

I Have the Z06 Vette rims on my Camaro. 17's on front and 18's on rear. Looks like i notice late that my alienment was out and the side of the front tire is balding out. I can't rotate these tires unless i go all 17's or 18's. My rears still have full tred. So i was thinking. Should i put 18's in my front??? I mean who in here has 18's all around on Camaros??

40% of people run 18" on here. Just do it. the step down look looks like shit IMO

DarkLoneWolf666 Jan 3, 2008 01:42 AM

what you mean step down??? as in all 17's?

18" all four corners . . . :) different widths though. Never cared about alignments on my toy cars.

The change in wheel OD IMHO looks wierd on F-Cars since the OD of the tire needs to stay the same to keep ABS happy. So the front sidewall with a 17" wheel is taller that the rear side wall of a 18" wheel.

17"__--18" <----you see it stepped down. 18" all around will look way better on a camaro. ;)

i have 18" on all 4 with 275's all around as well. No complaints but i think on super sharp turns my fronts rub the wheel well a little.

18's all the way around.....

If you are asking just to satisfy your alignment problem, then I would say just stick with what you have, and get it aligned properly. It'll only cost you about $50 at most ASE certified shops. Even if you went 17's or 18's all the way around, you still would need an alignment done anyway. Depending on what you like, a lot of people have different tires for the back than they do on the front, meaning doing this wouldn't allow a rotation either.

Now, if you are asking from a cosmetical standpoint "which looks better", then I would agree that 18's all the way around look better than 17's on the front, and 18's on the back, but thats a decision you would have to make personally.

Oh, and I also have 18's all the way around on my Camaro.
