Default Confused about bfg tires??????

I have always run the traditional tread design kdw's on my car. I am looking for a drag radial for the street and I wanted to get the new tread drag radials for the back.

Does a 275 or 285/40/17 exist in the new tread.

I won't get a bfg unless it is the new tread.

How long will bfg dr's last on the street. I drive the car 150-200 miles a week on average. I don't go around doing burnouts or any thing.

I want them to hook decently.........better than shitto's

I don't know about the 285 size but I am pretty sure that they make one in a 275 for a 17 wheel

As for lasting, the BFG's are softer than the Nittos so I would guesstimate some where in the nearborhood of 10-12K daily use out of them. With occassional launches along the way.

That would last me about a year. The bfg's would probably be a good compromise between nitto's and MT's.

Yep that's right. If you wanted more handling and less traction go with the Nittos, more traction less handling then the MT's

anyone have the nt01's. i was gonna get the mickey street radials but my friend with a 500rwhp cobra just got some 315 nt01's and dumps the clutch at 3k on the street not burning out at all. he actually beat a sti by a car or so off the launch. they things seem great, they are great for cornering also and are z rated. 3 in 1 tire pretty much. they are about the same price as bfg's also if you go to the right places. i can get 305 35 18's for 540 out the door

I have new pair of them NT01's and they look like they would do the job. But it's cold here right now so I wouldn't know about traction on them.
