what should i do with the stock wheels?!?!? I was thinking about painting my stock snowflake z28 alloys black. Now i would either sand it down prep it spray it with some black and clear, or take them to get powder coated black. Would painting them still look good if i did it right or is it worth it to powdercoat them? Kepp in mind im on a budget :eyes: here are some pictures i did in photoshop to give some ideas: https://www.fquick.com/images/vehicl...8038100892.jpg https://www.fquick.com/images/vehicl...8038100890.jpg And something for fun. . . the look im going for https://www.fquick.com/images/vehicl...8038100891.jpg . . . and on a side note anyone know where to get some smoked corner lights that look similar to this picture? |
I'll say powdercoat them. You're going to wish you did the first time the paint chips. Keep in mind, PCing will be more costly/labor intensive as you'll have to take the tires/valves off to spray and bake 'em. |
lol.. you didn't need to photochop any pics.. I've been running them for quite a while.. https://www.fquick.com/images/vehicl.../254311674.jpg https://www.fquick.com/images/vehicl.../254339891.jpg https://www.fquick.com/images/vehicl.../254393188.jpg these are painted gunmetal and cleared. |
Isn't it about $70 bucks to get a wheel powder coated? For the money, I'd just get some decent wheel paint and make them presentable until you can come up with the green to get what you really want. |
i have never seen snowflakes look good, but somehow you did it! |
