MT 295/45 17's

Does anyone have any real world experience with these Drag Radials from Mickey Thompson (# 3745R)? I've seen a few good posts from Cobra and Supra guys but not much from the GM 4th Gen crowd. I could use a slighty taller street/strip tire as my 275 40's don't hook that well.

Thanks in advance

i really wish they were a 315/40. i have a problem. im working on it but its still a problem. my ego wont let me put smaller then a 315 tire on the back of my car. :bang: my 315/35r17 m/t's hook really good though  just not enough top end for the gas.

Not to hijack my own thread (is that possible?) but anyway from what I read you can, although it's not "recommended". I found a few Stang guys running similar sized tires on 17x9's with no issues.

Here's a quick break down on ratios of popular drag radials for a potentaial 17x9 candidate

P275/40R17 = 26" tall/tread width 10.0"
P275/50R17 = 28" tall/tread width 8.8" (M&H, ppl say they run narrow)
P325/45R17 = 28" tall/tread width 10.3" (M&H, ppl say they run narrow)
P295/45R17 = 27.2" tall/tread width 10.6" (Mickey Thompson)

Thank you for the info. I did not know this. I just bought 275/40/17 ET street radials so I hope I can cut a 1.6. I will def. look into those 325 for next time I buy...
