Tired of stock rims, need help choosing a new set.

Tired of stock rims, need help choosing a new set.
I couldnt even imagine how many different styles or companies that make rims for f-bodies. I know that there are a lot of nice rims out there, but I have not a clue is to where to start. I either want a high polished or chrome set of rims. I rather have a set of chrome so that I dont have to polish them, but if I cant find a set in chrome that I like, I will settle for a polished set. But if the design is too much of a pain to actually polish, then forget it! I know for sure that I dont want a set of Torque Thrusts II because everyone and their mom has them. I actually had a set of 18" ZO6s, but sold them a while back because I didnt have money at the time for tires. Then on top of that, I wanted to keep a stock look. But my mind always changes and here I am again, looking for a new set of wheels. I really like a few sets from HRE, but theres no way Im paying $1000 a rim. I want a stylish, good quality, good priced rim that will go good with my car. I know rims arent going to be cheap, but I sure dont want to get too expensive. The question is...where to start? If you have any suggestions whatsoever or pics that you would like to share so that I can get an idea of something, please feel free to do so. Thank you so much and any help is much appreciated.

Give us your maximum budget per wheel. That will help narrow it down greatly. For a daily-driver, I would never recommend polished wheels. Too much maintenance to keep nice looking! Go with chrome or painted wheels.
Definitely agree with you on the TT2 statement.

I would say no more than $500 a wheel, but Im thinking more in the $300 range. I guess youre right about the polished finish on a daily driver because I had a set of 18s on my show truck, but it was also my daily driver and I hated polishing them every 2 weeks. They were complicated on top of that, so it was a good 30 to 40 mins. on each wheel. Ill probably go with a chrome set, because Im not into painted wheels much. But as I was saying, $500 would probably be the max on each wheel, but Im hoping that I can find a nice set for under $1500 a set. Thanks a lot.

Take a look at the above thread and set yourself apart from the crowd with a new set of 2pc forged wheels we now carry here at DTD. Unbelievable quality without breaking the budget too badly. You can get yourself into a set of 18's for about 2k

Tony...I thought that you had something for me?
Todd...I like a few of those rims, but I never heard of them, how come they are so much? Are the prices that you listed the prices that you give us?
Camaro Zach...Im actually looking for a set of wheels for show or to drive daily with. When I buy a set for racing, Ill most likely go with some Bogarts. But for now, Im just looking to get away from the stock look. Thanks

Re: Need new wheels, please post pics for ideas!
Sorry...forgot to mention that chrome ZO6s and Torque Thrusts IIs are out of the picture. I love both set of wheels and either one would be a great choice for me, but just too many people have them. I had a set of ZO6s about 8 months ago, but had to sell them because I couldnt afford tires at the time. I loved the wheels and wanted to put them on my car really bad, but its a good thing that I sold them because now everyone has them! Dont mean to bash the ZO6s or the TTIIs, but Im just looking for a set of wheels that not too many people have. So anything other than those would be fine. Thanks
