Honestly i dont know if he was blowing smoke up my *** with the rivets or not let me Explain with pictures and see if you better understand
This the model i ordered...[technically] as stated before

This is wheel i ideally wanted to go with but with Accent Painting (will explain later)

Now for the coloring, considering i have a black trans am and i didnt want to be like everyone and their mom, i added the Accent painting option which they paint the rim and run a clearcoat over the paint to add the finish etc.. Here is a Default picture of the finish

The diffrence between the two are one has rivets the other has grooves i combined the two 2gether

Now for what i had colored. I kept the default coloring as u see there, but i went with black and chrome finish. By color here is as follows,
lip=chrome finish ofc
rivets=chrome
groove=chrome
boze logo in center=chrome, everything else in center cap=black
rest of the rim is black. with the lugs chrome ofc
Hoping to achieve a look similar to this, Yes i know its a Stang but its the closest thing i could find.
I know the picture sucks there is a link under it for those who may have the slightest bit of interest. Its the very last pictures, the grey stang ofc.

i think they will look good with the accent painting, personally....but i still think it would look better without the rivets.

Ive thought about it both ways tbh. It could hurt it or help it. But my theory behind it is....i can always go back and have the rivets blacked out in an attempt to hide them. I wanted more options to play with once i actually get them. Not just like for example the TT2's once u get that wheel, you have one of like 3 options and at least 82743274327423424234 ( sorry for the exaggeration) people have that option all ready. Thanks though

Isn't that red rim you posted exactly like what you ordered but red instead of black??

Not hatin, matter of fact I love what you are talking about and to be honest, i am a rivet kinda guy myself.

Very similiar to Forgelines Diamond Edging.

Yea that exactly what i did for the spokes, grooves being silver/chrome/polished look. and the red being black, just changed the center cap colors and the lip. etc...

You guys keep saying rivets, but we are talking about multi-piece wheels here. They are bolts that hold the face of the wheel to the barrel, not rivets.

Anyway about the fitment. I have Budnik wheels, 18x10s in the rear with a 7.125" backspace, which equals a 2.875" lip. Therefore you have 1/8th inch more of a lip than my wheels, and considering you have a Trans Am which have slightly wider fenders, your wheels WILL fit.

Good lookin wheels man, I'm trying to move my Budniks right now and I think I'll check these guys out for my next set of custom wheels.

bolts, rivets....wtf ever......they both leave small, round holes in the face of the wheel. we don't have to say exactly what they are for people to know what we're talking about.

and the........BOLTS........don't have to be on the front face, either.....they can just as easily put them on the back, where they are not visible when mounted, making the wheel look a lot cleaner.

Yea I'll let ya know for sure then, I kinda went on a limb I was in the same situation you are (i think) when i ordered was tired of dealing with "Fitment Guarantees" and no company just selling me the **** i wanted even though i knew from other peoples rides that they would fit. Knowing now coming from someone who knows what their talking about I'm a little relieved.

Question

So is that 1 month until you get them, or until they finish making them?

Roughly the same tbh, they said it will take 2-3 days to ship and 3-5 weeks to make them. So nearly the same time i suppose.
