Nitto555Rs For the Drag Strip?
How are these tires on the drag strip? They are supoposed to have a stiffer sidewall but the same compound as the drag radials?

i have 245/50 16 nitto drag radials on my bolt on z28 and they hook decent but definetly not as well as mickys, but i bought the nittos because they were a tire I can drive on every day rain or shine and get better wear out than the mickys

The Nitto's are a good choice if you want to take your daily driver car to the strip every once in awhile and not have to change tires all the time. For a more serious strip car, Micky Thompson's are the way to go. The Nitto's are the worst for traction out of the popular drag radials, but are the best when it comes to tread wear. I personally went with the Nitto's due to the fact that my car is daily driven. They do hook better than almost any street tire you will find.

I have 555Rs on my 18x10.5 vette wheels. they are 305/35/18 i believe. they may be
30s, i cant remember. They hook quite a bit better than street tires, but nothing to write home about. I think they work well to be street driven, with occasional track usage. As stated, more serious strip cars should look elsewhere. just my opinion.

If your gonna get a drag radial go with mt. But if you have a decent rearend besides a 10 bolt lol get an et street or a slick especially if your a m6 car making any decent power.
