Fitting 15x10 rims, grinding calipers
Since I cant afford the high tech lightweight brakes right now, if I swap to the Pro Stars, 15x10, with 7.5 BS, it looks like I will have to grind the calipers, and use a spacer?
Does someone have a pic of ground calipers, so I know what I'm shooting for? Or explain it to me.
What size studs would I need for this to be legal at the track?
Needed:
Rims
spacers (size for front & back?)
studs
lugs
I have 15x7.5 Convo Pros, w/15x12 ET Streets, but for the track I would like to go with a 10" ET Drag. Would I benifit (track ET) from going with a bigger rim & the Drag, or would the $$ be better spent somewhere else? Need some honest opinions.
Car will be spraying 300 right out of the hole, on the ARE 393 all bore.

Re: Fitting 15x10 rims, grinding calipers
I should add, that last year I ran 26x15x10 ET Drags on a H&C car & 100 shot, and cut a 1.44 60' with this tire on the 15x7.5 Convos.
I need to run a 28" tire this year, so are the 26 & 28" Drags the same width?

The squared places on the outside edge of the caliper will need some work with a grinder.I put my car on jackstands and put a piece of duct tape on the inside of the wheel.Put the wheel on the studs and spin it by hand, the tape will show where it's rubbing. It will take several attempts to get enough material off to clear.Take small amounts each time,it better to do that than taking too much off at once.I did'nt have to use spacers for my Centerline Warriors.
