Question on Subwoofer's is this overkill or no?

Alright,

I am looking to purchasing an Alpine 10" sub Type R. I plan on putting it in my 2001 ws6. Would this be enough base for what I need? Or should I get two?

I want it to be clean and crisp, not overkill. I want to still be able to here the treble and voice but have a nice firm bass as well. (I say this because i've been in cars where the bass was so overpowering I couldnt even hear the vocals/treble it was like listening to bass only in a song...

Im willing to buy two if thats what I need just don't want to go overboard because Im not out to prove anything, also how bad does your car start to rattle after putting some decent bass into it?

Thanks!

Thats exactly what I have. 1 10" type r, a stealth box, and an alpine mrpm500. Perfect amount of bass and very clean sounding, imo.

woo you made my day lol! Can you give me details on what you did as far as placement and mounting? Where did you put amp? Pics would be greatly appreciated

I made an amp rack that goes across the back wall. I have a picture before i wrapped it and put the plexi glass into the rack, let me find it. As soon as the car is back from being tuned i will take completed pictures.

It depends on the box you go with.
