take out HUmount and run a piece of electrical tape over the top where the 2 pieces meet to prevent bleed through

Ws6kid. Nov 25, 2009 11:24 PM

Thanks for the advice! i was wondering how i would eliminate that bleeding problem.

scj Nov 26, 2009 12:41 AM

took me a weekend to pull its all together.
but its worth it!
the cables dont even seem to be there
compared to my other friends rides which have cable wires popping out all over the place.:pics:

Good fix for a while. Degrease and paint with black plastic paint except for the part where the leds shine through. Looks a lot better!

Good job OP

Ws6kid. Nov 28, 2009 12:48 PM

no disrespect for sure your s%$s tight!
But Im good where I can do a nice install with just removing the plastics and lifting up the corner of the carpet... but sence you never run wires in bettween the seats anyhow i leave em in. All tho when i restored my old ta i ran them before the int was in and it was 20times easier.
you got a nice set up tho! Its nice to see ppl going the extra mile then doing not enough.

looks really good ! How does it sound ? I went with the Type R 6.5's not the compnents though. It is almost identical to my set up...

wish i had pics of my set up,, i built it and installed it before i put it away for the winter and cant get to it for a pic.
Its a type R also with a inverted set up with a 12" in the lower truck hole, its got a covered vinyl faceplate to block off seeing the mdf box...no ttops to store so i went that route.

EsCrasston Dec 2, 2009 09:43 PM

you have any more pics of the amp rack setup?

Trans Am Jam Dec 2, 2009 09:48 PM

that would be great! thanks. i'm looking into a similar setup as far as the mounting goes.

looks great!

zbugger Dec 3, 2009 01:43 AM

You guys both have a very nice setup. I just installed a stealth box I got from Ian at Kee, and I just have to finish installing the rack as well. Differences with mine are a cheap amp to mount and a Kicker C12 sub. I like the setup. And I still get to store the t-tops too. I can't wait to be finished with it all.
