i have a plug in the fender well and hooked up directly to the battery with an in line fuse, so now just plug it in , no more opening the hood i got it mounted to the quick lift and the plug will release easy if i back out and forget to un plug it !!! hope the pic's explain them selves. billyb.

Nice install, but Chicago Electric - bet you got that from Harbor Freight? If so then it will probably last for a few weeks and then die. Hope it works out and pretty cool setup. Might need to do something like that to mine in the near future as I'm tired as well of opening the hood up everytime I bring her back home and put the cover on.

yeah, i thought of that but for $7.00 i'd give it a try no more hood poping.

If you go to the DELTRAN brand like I have, they sell an adapter where you can just plug it in in your cig lighter, crack you window and your good to go. I love my deltran, like you already know even with an Optima battery these cars draw them dead sooner than you woud think, cold or not.

Get a CTEK. It comes with a fused pigtail you can wire in.

unless harbor freight redesigned it since last year which i doubt they did, when the tender isnt plugged in the red light on the little box will be on, its drawing power off your battery, i have verified with a meter
