Default Anyone Do 4 12's In A TA?

I was just wondering if anyone has done 4 12 inch subs in the rear of a trans am where the back seat is taking the beat seat out and the space of the back seats up.

You can, just depends on how good your glasswork is... 6-8 should be achievable with a wall...

It can be done, I'm sure. I couldn't imagine it not blowing your ear drums out or having too much bass.

it depends on airspace requirements but you can easily get 4 12" behind the seat and have the box going down into your t-top well. we built a box/wall that i think had 8 12" mmats subs (spl competition) but it was seriously underpowered with only one mmats amp so it wasn't nowhere near as loud as it looked lol.

If you're going to go through the work of building a box for four 12's, get something a little better then Kickers IMO.

I am rolling with a single DD9515 and hitting mid/high 140's, the box barely comes up past the shelf in the back... So unless your going all out spl 4 12's is waste of time/space...

I do need to find someone around OKC that can help me redo the port in mine, I built this one for an old sub I had and not the DD... I need more port area...

He would be good with one DD 1512 with tunned box and 600rms. Yes i know they are rated lower, but trust me they can take a lot more!

Im in the process of a budget 4 12" build..

all sealed. two in the rear well. and another 2 slanting down from the backseat to the rear well box. and it should end up looking like a big " V " so to speak.. all getting covered in vinyl and the amp mounted in the spare tire area.

Do you have a sketch up of what you're talking about, little confused on how you're going about it. Why wouldn't you just do 4 in one box all with the same tune?

Ill try to photoshop a pic of what im talking about..

I already bought a custom box for 2 of the 12's and I want to use it because it fits perfect. im just going to add this second box.

and since their sealed its not going to matter if their in 2 different boxes, as long as my cubes are roughly similar.

heres my idea..

i havent seen this done before. but the should look pretty damn clean

and loud too.

I'v had those kenwood subs for 3 years now.. rated at 400rms each and they are $60 a piece, and I have been putting 600rms each for the last 2 years DAILY. cant beat the price and wattage.

I plan on buying 4 new model ones.. i know i could get something better like Fi ssd's DC level 3's Audioque SD2.5's etc.. but this is a BUDGET build. and the subs never let me down.

my amps a Hifonics Brutus 2008d. 2000rms @ 1 ohm. and I have 0 gauge wire throughout the car. voltage stays right around 13 full tilt on 1200rms. so I should be fine with stock electrical on 2krms. but i need to fix my BCM the subs seem to have taken their toll on it the past year. cuts out a lot.

Should be interesting to see how this works out. I would suggest the Big 3 and maybe a second battery if you're going to use 2k daily. I did 1200w daily and saw some voltage drop when I turned the lights on full tilt. Try craigslist for something a little better then kenwoods and see if you can find anything.
And I thought you were doing ported which is why I was confused on the setup. Post results.
