Will Steering Wheel Controls work with Aftermarket Head Unit?
Im looking to buy a new head unit for my 00 WS6.. Do they make kits or a plug to allow the steering wheel controls to work with the new aftermarket cd player?

I have heard tho that the sensitivity is different with the adapter and it still doesnt work all the time? Does anyone know for sure of an adapter that works 100% of the time because I dont want to use the steering wheel controls at all. Thanks

The wired systems work very well. These are the PAC adapters like SWI-JACK (JVC, Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood) and the SWI-PS (Pioneer, Sony). There is a SWI-X that uses the remote control infrared signal to send the steering control signals to the radio remote function which potentially can work intermittently if not installed properly or the transmitter is not put in a good spot. You shouldn't have to worry about that though depending on the model HU you plan on using.
Alot of the Axxess units are still made by PAC by the way. They even have PAC directions in some if them.
