Default Double Din GPS/MP3/Radios off Ebay ( from Europe)

Has anyone bought the DD GPS units from Ebay that are not Pioneer/Kenwood brands etc? I see units from Europe that cost around $300 compared to the Pioneer/Kenwood units ar $700+.

Ebay link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-HD-In-Dash...item1c232f12d8

They come with all the N American maps etc. I do not see any disadvantages with these units.

Last time I looked, Australia wasn't part of Europe. The FM tuners in Australia may only tune even numbered frequencies (US uses only odd numbered frequencies) because odd numbered frequencies are only used in very limited areas of the country. So if your favorite station is 99.5, you might only be able to tune 99.4 or 99.6. There may be a switch or menu option that allows tuning odd numbered frequencies but I would check before buying. (The same applies to European radio stations.)

Also, the linked listing only mentions Australian and New Zealand maps.

This was just a sample as I saw units from Asia, Europe and Australia.

Same cautions apply... check that it supports odd numbered FM frequencies and NTSC video (or ATSC if including a TV receiver). Also check the available regions on the DVD player if you plan to use DVDs.

I would stay far away from these cheap radios
I have had many customers buy them and end up spending more money on a nicer well known brand name version.

Call me direct for best pricing on radio or radio bezel combo packages too

also
these cheap radios are not standard double din size and will not fit into one of our double din bezels..they are larger

Going cheap on a double din is just asking for trouble. Spend the extra money and get yourself a nice headunit.

You can get a pretty darn good Pioneer AVH-4400 through Denis for around $430. Only $130 more than the questionable radios posted.

I'm getting intrigued by the Pioneer APP radio myself with it being $599 with bezel. Any input on those? Said release on DoubleD site was Spring 2012.
