"Dead" steering wheel
"Dead" steering wheel I've had this problem since I bought the car and am now deciding to address it. lol
The guy that had the car before me hit a curb really hard with the front passenger tire hard enough to throw off all the alignment and everything. Anyways, I got everything straightened out but the steering wheel doesn't light up or honk the horn, I imagine something in it broke but I know nothing about these things. Any input on what it is and how to fix it?

Did the airbag go off? It sounds like something in the area of the turn signal cam or clock spring is bad. You may need to go as far as step 17 in this thread to replace the broken parts:

The horn and steering wheel control lights are on different systems/circuits in the steering wheel. The only place the two come near each other is under the air bag. There is a horn connector and controls connector there. Hopefully they aren't connected at that point.
BTW - The female part of the horn connector is fragile and a part of the turn signal cam. If the horn wire won't catch the connection, then that whole part probably needs to be replaced.
