Default Help identifying wire

I'm in the process of gutting my 98 trans am, and after removing the headliner to get the dome light wires out I cannot get this set of wires out or see what there attached to. Can anyone give advice on how to take them out?

Could it be rear defrost power?

I know there is a big wire loom on the passenger side of the car. Does it maybe break off of that by chance? I have not really tried to look for those wires before. It should not be that hard to track it down if you have everything pulled out.

I'm at work right now, I will take a look at it as soon as I get home somehow I think I will end up having to take the plastic cover off the hatch.

take the hatch trim off and disconnect the third brake light and remove the spoiler from the hatch, than you can pull the cable back thought the hatch. the defroster wire you can trace and pull back.

Ooooooh. ... Is that a solid roof!

I have not had the occasion to personally work with this harness before, but I recall those of us with less structural rigidity (T-Tops) have that harness travel through the roof and down the B-Pillars. You might try removing the subwoofers from the B-Pillars and looking in there to see if you see a harness. That subwoofer gives enough of an opening, it would be really easy to put a harness clip in there. (That may be why you can't pull on the harness.)

I'd expect that GM would have kept the harness the same for the solid roof cars and the T-Top cars. I've also always expected that the harness would have exited the B-Pillar around the back seat and joined the side conduits that run along the rocker panels.
