PAC's NEW i-POD Interface is SHIPPING!

Check out the new "AUX-POD" that officially starts shipping today!
http://www.pac-audio.com/

Application guide:
http://www.pac-audio.com/auxbox/default.htm

The "AUX-POD" will allow complete control of your I-POD through your vehicles factory stereo, and even factory steering wheel controls. In fact, there is no need for a cigarette adapter since it charges through the supplied cable! Retail price is just under $200
If that is too much cash for you, then you can buy the "AUX-BOX" for about half the price. However, control of the I-POD is handled through the unit itself as well as the need for an external charger.
Thankfully, with either part, there is no need for sound degrading FM Modulation!!

To order either part, you can call Mike from HP Distributing @ (800) 375-2927 or JT from JT's Autosound @ (714) 817-8282

Just thought I would post this since so many people have asked about it.

so what about people with an in-dash factory CD player...did I read that wrong?

what if I have an aftermarket CD player?

Stealthjr Jul 21, 2004 11:20 AM

If your factory in-dash CD player is a 2000 model year or NEWER it will work just fine. (I did one in a 2000 T/A on Sunday)

We are currently working on a solution for "some" aftermarket stereos. This part is designed to work with an OEM radio. If you plan to buy an aftermarket unit now...get one with an "input". Or you can wait for the Alpine unit coming out in 6 months or so that should give you full control like the "AUX-POD" does.

Hope that helps.

it does...thanks.

That's pretty cool. Lucky for me my alpine has aux inputs for my ipod. I managed to use to pac pieces in my car, one to control the ipod, & one to control the radio using the steering wheel controls. Thank God apple offers an aftermarket remote piece for the ipod. Ever since hooking up an ipod in my car, I can't remember the last time I used a cd.

Which adapter do you use to run the aux-pod to the head unit on a 2000 camaro, monsoon system? Is it the aux9?

anyone have this hooked up yet? i'm curious as to how well it works! i've read some not-so-good things about the DENSION version of this... but hoping that the aux-pod works well!

What was the problem with the DENSION version?
This is definitely a better solution than the GM9-AUX + charger cable, but at more than 2X cost. If it were $100-$125 I'd definitely get it, but not $190. It's not that big a deal to change tracks on the iPod versus the steering wheel. Volume already works from the steering wheel. The main benefit would be the auto on/off.
