Subwoofer Question

I've got 2 10" subs in a custom box in the back of my ext cab truck, its located under the seat. The subs point down towards the carpet and the question I have is should I modify the box so they point up towards the seat? Would this result in it being louder/better sound quality. I could do it pretty easy i think, just cut a whole on the opposite side and mount them facing up.

They will be both louder, and hit lower facing down. That's why they design most truck boxes that way.

Oh ok thanks, I've had some people question the box before, they had theirs pointing up or out and looked at mine funny. They sound good though so I'm sure you're right.

Yep, downfire is typically the best way to point subs in most trucks.Too bad you didn't get your box off me. I make one that is similar for two 10s, but also holds an amp and is carpeted real nice. Looks like this
