Kicker 10's

Right now I've got 2 Memphis Audio Power Reference 10's (about 200-250 RMS) and I'm looking to upgrade to something stronger. I'm a big Kicker fan and I think I figured out what I want but I thought I'd throw it out there and see if I could get some feedback. I've got a reg. cab so keep that in mind. I want to get 2 of these:

I figure if I get those I'll be knockin really hard. Any comments?

Getting your subs in the right air space would be better then just replacing the subs. Memhpis has been consistantly louder then kicker. Kicker has better SQ. Your best bet would be to put the right sub and most importantly in the right airspace.

:stupid:
Although I am a big fan of the kicker solobarics L7's for small sealed enclosures.

Do you think they would hit very hard with them having such little airspace? Thats my biggest concern. Or what about moving down to kicker 8s. Their RMS is 400 so that would give me 800 total and thats hittin' pretty hard.

Power isn't everything, that's what he's saying. You could have an 800-watt sub designed for a small sealed enclosure....throw that in something like a bandpass or a freeair setup and it'll sound like ass.

Figure out your space, box design, etc and pick the sub for that setup.

Thats true....so anyone know of any subs that hit well behind the seat of a reg. silv?

What size is the box you have?

wes00silverado Apr 18, 2005 07:16 AM

Right now I've got 2 of the wedge style boxes that fit behind the seat made by Q-Logic. Not sure what size they are. They basicly take up all the room behind each seat and I only had to scoot it up a knotch or two from all the way back. Oh yeah, and right now I've got the ones for the round subs.
