Pop in speakers??

Pop in speakers?? I installed a whole new system in my truck and the speakers pop when I turn of the truck (when the amp turns off). Just curious as to what that could be. Thanks!!

When signal is removed from an amplifier before the stored energy in the output section has had a chance to dissipate, that built-up capacitance will find its way out through the output transistors, and thus through the speakers. In English, this means that the amp is shutting off before the signal to it does. My first guess is that you're using something other than the blue 'remote-turn-on' wire from your aftermarket head unit to turn the amp on and off, and therefore the head unit's signal output to the amp cuts off before the amp does - thus causing the 'pop'. If you are using the blue remote wire, then I'm curious if you're using RCA's or speaker-level input to the amp.
