Help changing from the horn to another speaker

Help changing from the horn to another speaker I had an idea a while back about changing the alarm notification and the beep you hear when you lock the vehicle. I want to change it out with the BMW speaker. Can anyone tell me how I would do this, or if its even possible. From what I understand its just a pulse signal, so theoretically if I can identify the source wire and hook it up to the BMW speaker, it should work? Or am I totally off? Someone set me straight...

Its not the whole horn assembly. Just the speaker that makes the noise when you engage the alarm on a BMW. I just want to make my car make that sound, but still use the regular horn... The BMX thing should just be a speaker because its a different sound than the horn

It won't work. The BMW speaker, like aftermarket alarm systems, chirps on a pulsed signal and sounds the full alarm on a steady signal. The GM factory alarm system doesn't provide a steady signal in either case.
The BCM controls the alarm system. It has a wire that connects to the horn relay and provides a pulsed ground to trigger the relay and beep the horns. The pulsed ground is used for both the arming/disarming notification and the full alarm. Connecting the BMW speaker to that circuit would only make it chirp even when the alarm was triggered by someone trying to break in.
The BCM controls the alarm system. It has a wire that connects to the horn relay and provides a pulsed ground to trigger the relay and beep the horns. The pulsed ground is used for both the arming/disarming notification and the full alarm. Connecting the BMW speaker to that circuit would only make it chirp even when the alarm was triggered by someone trying to break in.
