Default RF, JL, or Kicker??

I've been shopping around for the best sub for my stealthbox in my TA. I've gotten prices for the Rockford Fosgate P2, the JL's and the Kickers, and just wanted to see how everyone rated these as far as being the best. Which ones would you guys recommend for just 1 10'?

All are good brands. Get what sounds best to you. Personally I would lean towards the JL or the kickers

Personally I like RF..... sound down right mean but I would step it up to P3's. JL's I like em to because they can take and handle A LOT of power. And kicker I like because TO ME they are more of a SPL type woofer!

I've got a JL Audio on a RF amp it sounds great but honestly I think that the amp makes a much bigger difference in the way it sounds than the sub does. Whatever you get though it will sound good

I've had the JL's and love them. I had a pair of W'6's that were stolen. They were the best subs I ever had. "Sniff" "Sniff". in all seriousness. I think they have the smoothest bass response over the band with the right amp. The other two I would by if I wanted a lot of punch, but I like the JL's for the smoothness. All are reputable companies though.

I would choose Kicker from my experience. Even though JL is still a great brand, you asked which one I'd take . RF on the other hand I just don't like...

Thanks for the replies, I went out today and did some more snooping. I've never heard of Memphis before though. Where are they out of? Also, has anyone ever heard of resonant engineering subs and amps? I went out and priced both the Alpine type R (way too much for an amp to power that sub), the RF P2, which seemed alright except for one dealer quit carrying them because he said that everyone was bringing them back with problems. Then I asked about the JL 10W3V2 and 10W6V2, and got some good feedback. The W3 hit hard but didn't seem as crisp as the W6, but the salesman said that the W6 qon't fit in the stealthbox. I think I would have to disagree, but what do I know. Subthump.com even recommends the W6 as one of the subs for the stealthbox, and if the recommend it, it must fit. So all around, I think my best bet pound for pound would have to be either of the JL's, depending on which one fits.

the sub fits, id reccomend either w3 or kicker 10L7, the w3 has a good amount of breathing room in cubby hole boxes. I just bought 2 10L7's for my stealth BOXES, but b4 that i had just 1 10" infinity perfect 10.1d and people thought i had multiple subs. and The infinity sounded SOOOO Clean........

Are you stuck on those brands only? Are you biased about brands compared to JL? Lots of other subs out there that would fit your need. Check out: Image Dynamics, Adire Audio, Resonant Engineering, Diamond Audio, OZ Audio, Dynaudio, Alpine, and Focal just to name a few. What is your budget with sub + amp? What music do you listen to? How loud do you want it? SQ, SQL, or SPL?
