thoughts on H/U

well, i went for it...and total after all was said and done it was 330 and some change...they were able to blow right into the stock amp! so nno modification needed there...andthe only thing i lost was a little bass and my steering controls(which i will get ack later(200 for part/install))...other than that...its awsome! great xsound and the rattle that the stock H/U casued almost dissapeared! so all in all in very happy! great buy for the cash!!!

I have a Pioneer DEH-P470MP. I've had it for about 2 months and installed it myself. I'm a total n00b at car stereo stuff, but it was pretty easy to install. I haven't had any problems with it yet and it sounds just fine for me.
As far as the steering wheel controls go, I bought a PAC SWI-PS which wires directly in with the headunit vs. using infrared. It was a bit more expensive ($90), but it was also very easy to install and program. Much better than $200.
