Courtesy lights. Help plz!
Courtesy lights. Help plz! K I searched for a while but it looks like im either A) a retard or B) threads were purged because I know Ive seen this here before.
My courtesy lights wont turn off at all. I disconnected my battery for precautionary reasons. I know I have to check out the pin switch in the door but how do I test it to see if its working properly? Wires to check with a voltmeter? Or just clean it out? Add electrical grease? Need the help guys! Thanks!

The wire bolts into the latch on the door. You could take the door panel off and then close the door. From the inside use a multi-meter to check the continuity of the switch? Maybe it is broken...? If so it wouldnt be a closed circuit when the door is closed.
Well I took the door apart and fiddled with the switchh but got lazy and decided to just unplug the lights until I found more time to do it. As I was unplugging the lights they magically turned off by themselves and I havent had the problem ever since. Go fig! Thanks anyway 02 z28 6spd!
