Cd player won't eat cd This just started happening. It wont suck a cd in anymore, i can manually force it in, but it still won't read it, justs spits it at me. anyone seen this before? |
Maybe it is not hungry. That is my only thought, sorry. |
it needs to be opened up. the "eating" mechanism thingy is stuck. you can push the cd inside but it wont go in all the way. im not sure what to do with this, but i hope your radio works |
http://experts.about.com/q/Car-Radio...d-ejects-2.htm The best way to find out why a CD won't go in all the way is to pull the CD player out of the dash and take off the cover. with the cover off try to load a CD and SEE what happens. In many of the CD players that I repair, the main reason that the CD will not go in all the way is because the rubber rollers are out of adjustment or dirty/slippery. With the top cover off you may want to gently clean the laser lens with a Qtip dampened with rubbing alcohol. |
