Trip reset on it's own

Ok here is the deal. every time i start my car my trip resets but when this happens it's like i have a corvette cause all the gages go from left to right and just like the corvette. but if i just put the key in and turn it to the radio on my last trip is still there. what the hell is it???

Thanks
Brad

Your battery is dying. I had the same thing happen to me. I took it to autozone and had the battery tested and it was junk. They told me 189 for an Optima blue top. I drove over to Advanced Auto asked them they told me 139. Went out to my car, and the battery wouldn't even roll over the engine. Talk about irony of finding a good deal on an optima and then being forced to buy it since your battery pukes in their parking lotl.

Yeah, check your battery/connections. 99's do this when voltage is low. Also see www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=359115
