just remote start
So to do it right, no there is not to my knoledge.
You could always put a auto remote start in there, and be fine, (until the day you leave the car in gear, and drive it away)

That was always my worry about putting a remote start. I would have to bypass the safety switch and eventually I would forget to leave it out of gear (I currently park in gear) and have to stand by while my car drives into something .
My vote....NOOOOOOO....just get in a crank....you will need to fast idle anyways if you go to a big cam some day.

www.impulseusa.com sells an add on remote start.
both of these are cheap solutions
Contact a DEI dealer to see if they make a dedicated remote start unit. If so, that is what i would reccomend doing
Ryan.
I have an M6 and remote start in my car. There have been two mishaps because of it. Until someone can devise a fail safe to detect if the car is in gear before cranking, it's really not worth the risk. I'll have my tranny off in a couple of months due to an engine rebuild/upgrade so I'll have a chance to look around to see what switches can be used.
Uhmmm... just in case you're thinking "I would never do that", just consider that no one ever PLANS to do something stupid. Well, they do on Jackass, but that's a totally different ball game.
I'd say don't bother. It's cool, but it's unsafe. I was lucky, combined damage from both things was under $5,000. Lucky for me, there wasn't someone standing in front of the car, no?
