For those CAMARO's with an SLP fan switch.....

Where did yo mount the switch?

I'm thinking on doing mine just below my cigarette lighter and turned on it's side so that the toggle goes left/right.

Wherever you mount it will be a better place than where I mounted mine.

I mounted mine in the kick panel right below the hood latch... in the perfect place where I can kick it getting out of my car. I've killed my battery 3 times doing that. You'd think I'd learn and move the switch, but no, I'm a dumbass, lol.

I plan on moving it to the "cell phone holder" (or whatever it's called) at the front of the console. I'm gonna make some kind of plate to cover the whole with and mount it (and other switches) there.

That's one of those Homer Simpson "DOH!" moments, huh?

But that's ok, I f'ed mine up last night. Conceptually, my idea where to put it was sheer brilliance, my execution wasn't.

You see, what I didn't realize (and it's my own fault) was that the ring that screws on the switch's back was larger in diameter by quite a bit compared to the switch itself.

So I was all excited, I got the 11/16th drill bit out, fired up the Bosch drill and drilled a hole nearly under the cigarette lighter. Stuck the switch in and then went to put the retaining bolt on............GAWDAMN, M*THERF*CKER!!!! So for now, I hogged out the hole further down for a temporary "makeshift" mount.

In a way, this is a blessing in disguise as my center console is all broken up anyway from being removed and replaced some 50 times and my plastic frame for my shifter boot doesn't even snap in as it's broken in about three places. Just gives me an excuse to get another one. So if anyone has a dark grey center console for a 97/98+ Camaro, I'm looking for one.
