Amp LED's Alright I need some help. I have two Audiobahn amps that right now are lit up with blue lights. I wanted to know how I can change the bulbs with some RED LEDs so the amps will match my interior lighting.. I know im gonna have to solder them on but I was just wondering exactly how I have to do it.. Please someone help! Not my amp but its the same kind.. http://www.ultimate-sounds.com/audiobahn/a8000tsm.jpg |
Anyone? |
You... open it up, look for blue LEDs, desolder them, and solder in red LEDs. |
sounds logical to me. |
I know that much.. I was just wondering if I would need a resistor and if it will say which is + and -. |
I just did this same exact thing like yesterday lol I have a massive audio amp, it had two blue leds on either side of a plexiglass logo plate. with MY amp, cannot say itll be the same for you, the l.e.d.s were already prewired in a series with a resistor in this nifty little circuit board type thing. took the blue ones off and resoldered them, very easy, and kinda fun |

Red LEDs are unlikely to be as bright, and the blue LEDs will already have a resistor that will work fine. If one LED works in a circuit, basically any LED will be good enough, excluding like the high power ones like Luxeon Stars. |
Alright thanks.. I might get around to openin them up tomorrow and seeing how they are.. |
