Shiift Light ?
Shiift Light ? i installed a shift light in my 98 TA today ground the light to a good ground in the engine bay. ran the red wire to the fuse box and pulled tach off pin 35
i turn key on and the light flashes set the rpm to 3000 to test it rev the motor and nothing. what did i do wrong i also set it for 4 cly

As long as you got the correct pin from the PCM for the tach input signal & a good solid ground & power it should work.
If its coming on & flashing back your setting then you have good power & ground, but had to have spliced into the incorrect tach input wire. There is no other reason for it not to work, unless it was messed up when purchased.
