in dash dvd q's
 

i'm looking to get a flip out screen with dvd player. im trying to find one with all the options. navigation, blue tooth (both incoming and outgoing calls) mp3 playback, and i pod connection. would like to spend about $1000 or less. does anyone know of any on the market. i've been looking with not alot of sucsess. oh yeah and i would prefer flip-out instead of double-din so there isn't much modifing to do. any help would be appreciated!!!!! thanks guys

ohh yeah and i want the passanger to be able to watch dvds while i'm driving, so.........i think that rules out jensens?

Check out ebay, I buy all of my electronics from there and usually save hundreds off what they charge in the store.

That rules them all out unless you make illegal modifications that we won't discuss here.

ya i'll modify it, i just thought the then jensens had like 4 different parking security features. that had to be done in a specific order. i was on ebay last night for like an hour and no luck so far

PIONEER AVIC-D3. I Have the PIONEER AVIC-Z1, and it does more than the D3, but I believe the D3 has most of the cooler functions that mine has for only $1000. The AVIC-D3 is the better buy, IMO.

This is a double-din unit though. You'll have to have a custom stereo mold done. To play dvds while driving, mods are required or just use a different monitor as "rear display" output.

any others guys?, i'm really looking for a motorized (flip-out) because i don't want to modify the bezel or dash.

I got a Jensen i it works great unlike a jvc i had and ended up sending it back. The Jensen can be hooked up where your passengers can watch it while you drive and its very simple to do. All of the new flip out players i have seen have to be modified to work while you drive not only Jensen.

i have a kenwood kvt 815. i really like it. it was over $1000 when it was new, but im sure the price has gone down. im not sure about the blue tooth though. any unit can have navigation, with some you just have to buy the external navigation thing, but it should hook right up to the in-dash.

and as far as being able to watch dvd's while driving... takes MAYBE 2 min to get it fixed. some people have done cutoff switches and stuff too, so they can turn it on or off.

I have an Alpine IVA-D300. It works fine. nice 7 inch viewable screen. Pretty cool features like this pulse-touch screen that makes you think you're pushing a real button on the screen. I'd reccommend the updated version, IVA-D310. The fact plate has a display screen. Which is easier to work with, if you want to retract the screen and still want to control music.
