Need help, can't find changer controls?

I have a 01 Trans Am Ws6 with the monsoon head unit and factory changer. The headunit has a single cd slot on it, no casette. I can not find where the changer controls are on the head unit to switch between discs? Can anyone help me out here? Thanks, Matt

I believe the #4 advances to the next disc. I installed my factory changer (from my SS) on to my wife's Formula (pre-wired for CD changer) and #4 goes to the next disc ... I'm 99.99% sure :judge:

Yeah I think he's right. It sounds kinda like a dumb question but I had the same problem. Its sort of confusing.

I tried #4 and it did not do anything. I have hit every button on the head unit and still can't get anything out of the changer?

Okay, first you have to press the CD/Play button (CD/Aux in Camaros). Press it once to switch from radio to the head unit's single CD. Press it again to switch to the external CD changer. After that all the buttons that control the head unit's single CD will work the same for the changer (track up/down, etc.). In addition, the #4 button is used to select the next disc in the changer magazine.

Make sure you put the discs in the cartridge upside-down (label side down) which is the opposite of just about every other CD changer made.

Thanks, I didn't know that about putting them upside down. They may have had something to do with it. Thanks again guys for all the help.

Alright I tried hitting the CD/Play button twice and it is not switching over to the changer? Any other ideas of what could be wrong?

if its never worked for you, you might wanna check connections at the changer and behind the radio.
