Deciphering alarm system's messages...

Hey peeps,

As you are all aware, when you press "lock" on the keyless fob, your car honks twice to confirm arming of the security system. When you press "unlock," the doors simply unlock. BUT...what does it mean when you walk back to your car after eating in a restaurant for a couple hours and press "unlock," and are greeted by a rapid-fire double honk? Tampering???

Yes. Either a door was opened while alarm on, or car was shook or something

thats how it is with my Viper alarm

Thanks dude... I've tried jiggling the door handles while locked to reproduce the disarm honk, but that didn't work...so I think I'll walk out to the car and put my ass to the rear quarter panel and shake her around a bit to test how well she guards herself, hehehe!

I could just imagine looking out my window and seeing you come out and put your ass on the back of the car bent over rubbing against it lol..
