A Different Kind of Camaro Build

Owning a pristine, original American muscle car is a dream for many, but there’s a growing allure in modified classics that pack a visual and performance punch. Among these is a strikingly customized Chevy Camaro, set to be auctioned by Mecum in Monterey next month. And it's quite the specimen, to say the least!

Shocking Exterior

Its exterior is designed to turn heads and evoke awe, featuring custom flared steel fenders, bespoke grille intakes, and NACA ducts. The car sits on Billet Specialties wheels, shod in Pirelli rubber, and is equipped with a Wilwood braking system with 14-inch drilled and slotted brakes. A hand-fabricated stainless steel exhaust system with Borla Pro XPS1 mufflers completes the aggressive look.

More of the Same Inside

Inside, this Camaro is a blend of modern technology and classic muscle car aesthetics. It features a 12-point full cage with a dash bar, custom headliner, door panels, and sheet metal floors, giving it a striking look and feel to match the exterior.

Sporty and Comfy

Corbeau mid-back bucket race seats further add to the sporty nature of this beast. A Lokar shift handle and EZ-Life electric power windows are equipped, as well. The Billet Specialties steering wheel and Vintage Air system ensure that driving this monstrosity is both exhilarating and comfortable.

Supercharged LSX

The heart of this Camaro lies in its performance. It is powered by a custom-built Borowski LSX V8 engine, enhanced by a Whipple 2.91 supercharger. This powerhouse combination delivers an astonishing 1,000 horsepower.

Mechanical Elements

The setup includes a Nick Williams 102 mm fly-by-wire throttle body, custom injectors, Holly Dominator engine management, and a Billet dry sump pan and pump. Paired with a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed manual gearbox, this Camaro promises an absolutely insane driving experience.

Headed to Auction

Mecum's event at the world-famous Monterey Car Week in California will run from August 15th to the 17th. The eyes of the automotive world will be peeled to Pebble Beach, and this head-turning creation will be making an appearance as it crosses the auction block as a hot-ticket item!
