The new C7 Corvette Stingray isn’t the only GM icon to be on the block at this week’s 2013 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, AZ auction.  To benefit the American Heart Association, the final 2012 factory production model COPO Camaro will be auctioned with the proceeds going to the charity which supports research, education and advocacy for issues related to heart disease and stroke.

“This sale gives the highest bidder the opportunity to buy a factory-assembled Camaro for drag racing – a truly unique piece of Chevrolet Performance history,” said Jim Campbell, General Motors U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports.

The model has a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission, a 327 engine and 4.0L supercharger, Inferno Orange Metallic paint, and a convertible top. It’s number 69, the last of the COPO Camaro race cars Chevy built for 2012. It will go up on Saturday evening, January 19th.

So how much would YOU pay for the privilege of owning this machine?
